This piece results from the negative of a cutting bench used in a civil construction work. When coming into contact with the concrete, the surface of this provisional element left its marks and irregularities, which were incorporated into the piece as a relief. Thus, the work transforms the trace of a constructive operation on an autonomous surface, in which cuts, lines, crossings and overlaps form a kind of design. The resulting configuration refers to the graphic logic of a city seen from above. What was a support and work structure comes to exist as a record of an action, preserving in the concrete the marks of an operation that normally disappears throughout the construction.
