"A Terra do Mar" is a screen that is part of the exhibition that carries the same name. It is therefore a symbol, too. It is a canvas that synthesizes and mimics the relationship that the artist has with water and the earth as material elements, forces and symbologies.
It is a canvas that is born from its hot past and gains light and flow over time, in extremely organic and rhythmic brushstrokes.
It is the meeting of the tides, the ultimate movement that makes a flow touch the other. It is the impact, the strangeness and the delicacy of the body (and colors) that are distant in temperatures and close in nature. The diptych, by separating two parts of the same whole, shows such a meeting.
