A sky to fit individual in the carioca agentil, 2025.
In Crab painting, a man bathes outdoors in a backyard, in the midst of a dense and earthy atmosphere. The scene, surrounded by dark tones and thick brushstrokes, evokes a moment of introspection and return to nature. The body partially submerged in water suggests both delivery and protection, gestures that dialogue with the symbol of the sign of Cancer, the crab, known for its bond with the home, sensitivity and self-care.
The backyard, intimate and everyday space, becomes a territory of freedom and refuge here. The painting transforms the banal act of bathing into a silent ritual of purification and reconnection with one‘s own body. The game between light and shadow, matter and mystery, makes a sense of shelter emerge, as if the outside world dissolved to make room for the essential gesture of taking care of oneself.
Thus, Crab is a meditation on vulnerability and fortitude: man strips himself, but finds protection in the same gesture. Nature envelops him as a shell - symbol of shelter and origin, making bathing an act of inner freedom.
