"The public transport scrapping program throughout Brazil, which since the mid-20th century has favored the growth of the automobile industry, has profound social implications. Circulation, on the other hand, our cities reveal how the replacement of trains, subways and buses with cars and motorcycles has urban impacts.
The transmutation of commercial, cultural, religious and other public spaces in large Brazilian cities in parking areas is the subject of the photographic series (2008), whose title underlines the contradictions and limits of the exclusionary and individualistic perspective of social life, alluding not only to the problem of transport, as well as unemployment.
In there are no vacancies, sets of images mounted on timelines, whose movement is given by the passage of our body in front of the sequences of photographs produced in Porto Alegre and Recife, Lia Letícia produces as critical a melancholy testimony about this historical process.".
