"Uma thing my" is part of a series of paintings carried out in recent years in São Paulo. In them I approach the emotional body: subjective experiences, affections, intimacy and intense emotions. I think about how each person carries stories, secrets and feelings that weigh-things we want to let go, but they stay, like attachment to an outfit, someone or an emotion. I wear disused clothes and worn underwear that, stretched like cloths, turn into stencils, leaving silhouettes that resemble Xerox: fragile, almost disposable images, but that remain as marks on memory and body.
