Marilene Villas-Boas (1948 - 1971), a psychology student and guerrilla, was part of the National Liberation Action (ALN) and, later, the Revolutionary Movement 8 October (MR-8), organizations of armed resistance Brazilian military dictatorship. In the composition, the moth takes the form of a witch, a nocturnal creature that transits between worlds and evokes mystery, transformation and resistance. Its wings welcome Marilene‘s face, merging body, spirit and metamorphosis. Surrounded by the deep blue, it returns as a transmuted force, breaking the historical silencing and reaffirming its presence in the collective memory.
