Heaven Under The Middle Of The Day (from The Night Series)
31.5 x 21.5 cm
coal and risk transfer with the nails on newspaper paper 48 g/m².
2023
sprout in the void, atmospheric pitch. Curated by Clarrisa Diniz. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The night series starts in 2020, during the remote residence at the pivot, and since then it has remained a recurring practice. The drawings take place between 11 pm and 3 am. This interval, when the world falls asleep and the body still watches, alters consciousness. I feel like I fall asleep, but the hand is still awake. I work with charcoal on newspaper paper. In the sky under midday (2023), markings, transfers and fleets merge with the image of a bonfire over time.
