"Switching on Kids" was held during my year of residency at the Viafarini Foundation in Milan, Italy.
The work is based on three main ideas. I wanted to play with the image of colored firearms, almost as if they were toys, creating a contrast between the playful and the dangerous - something comical, but which also ended up gaining a "comic" aspect, due to the final aesthetics of the painting. The title comes from another previous work, changing it into Miúdos 1, in which I paraphrased the song "Trando em Miúdos", by Francis Hime, especially the verse "Aquela Esperança de Tudo Seal, Por Esquecer".
